Jonathan T. Bailey currently serves as Chief Program Development Officer of Mission Health System, which is based in Asheville, North Carolina. He has more than ten years of experience in hospital administration.
Bailey began his successful career after earning a Masters of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Upon graduation he moved into an operations manager position with the Mayo Clinic, before moving onto a director position at North Carolina Baptist Hospital, where he worked for nearly a decade.
In his role at Mission Health System, Bailey is responsible for leading and supporting program development across Mission Health. He provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for 4 of Mission’s 7 centers of excellence, including Orthopedics, Neurosciences, Trauma, and Cancer/Oncology Services (within a $1.2B organization). Bailey also serves in the role of executive lead for developing relationships with the community, developing strategy, and ensuring effective operational implementation.
Bailey’s most significant project to date was the development a physician-hospital partnership alongside North Carolina’s leading neurosurgery and orthopedic spine practice. The alignment facilitated the consolidation of vital medical services in the area and helped grow a number of essential spine and neurosurgical treatment programs.
